Quotes References

I made a page to paste quotes that catch my eye:

Kabirdas, Indian poet of the 14th century –

“निंदक नियरेे राखिए, आँगन कुटी छवाई।
  बिन साबुन पाणी बिना, निरमल करे सुभाइ।”
(“nindak near rakhiye, aangan kuti chavai.
Bin sabun pani bina, nirmal karr subhai”)

Which roughly translates into –

You should always keep the person, who always criticizes you, near you.
Since their job is to criticize you, they will point out every minute flaws inside you.
This way, you can improve yourself and you become more clean and pure, than you would with soap and water.

An interesting statement in Quenya (High Elvin)

Nalmë oialië, ilya nwalme sina ungo eryavë ná. (“We are eternal, all this pain is simply a shadow.”)

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:30,31 KJV (Image is Sindarin translation)

The Godfather Part II (1974), written by Mario Puzo & Francis Ford Coppola: “My father taught me many things here — he taught me in this room. He taught me — keep your friends close but your enemies closer.”
